Lexie ridica din sprancene, usor surprinsa. Fusese aproape sigura ca aceea era Calliope pe care o cauta ea. Toate semnele duceau spre ea. Ok, deci ajunse de unde incepuse: fara niciun indiciu. Inspira adanc aer in piept, apoi ii zambi fantomei trist.

"Oh, ok," se balbai ea. "Imi pare rau, presupun ca m-am inselat."
Tinu cartea in ambele maini si ridica din umeri. Insa ceva ii atrase atentia brusc. 'In padure'. De unde stia ca scena se petrecuse in padura? Nu scria in carte, si daca ar fi citit-o. Scria doar ce se intamplase, fara loc sau timp.

"Hei, de unde stii ca s-a intamplat in padure?" intreba viperina, posibilitatea ca fantoma sa minta aparandu-i brusc in minte.
Ce motiv avea sa ascunda adevarul? voia sa protejeze pe cineva sau era prea dureros sa se intoarca inapoi?
