M-am trezit dintr-o datã , fãrã sã îmi dau seama la început unde mã aflu . Totul pãrea atât de diferit . Deºi pierdusem mult sânge , am reuºit sã mã ridic în picioare ºi sã mã privesc in oglindã. Eram atat de palida , iar pielea mea era atat de catifelata si de perfecta . Aratam probabil ca o papusa de portelan . M-am privit mai atent si am vazut cele doua urme de dinti pe gatul meu . Mi-am amintit ca trebuie sa o gasesc pe Karina , dar eram atat de slabita . Abia ma puteam tine pe picioare . Trebuia sa ma hranesc . Aveam nevoie de … sange. Acum eram scarbita de acest cuvant ; defapt , intotdeauna am fost . Mai facusem cativa pasi , sprijinidu-ma de perete . Imi doream din toata inima ca tot ce mi se intamplase sa fi fost doar un simplu cosmar , din care sa ma trezesc cat mai curand , dar aceste ganduri mi’au fost spulberate cand cineva a intrat in baie . Era o fata blonda , palida , care parea sa se simta destul de rau . Am privit’o si dintr’o data am simtit un impuls si m’am aruncat asupra ei , infingandu’mi dintii in gatul ei . M’am hranit cu o cantitate destul de mica , suficienta pentru a putea pleca in cautarea Karinei. Am lasat’o pe acea fata acolo , probabil in viata . Nu stiam ce avea de gand sa le spuna politistilor , dar nici macar nu imi mai pasa . Acum vroiam sa stiu care era adevarul. Vroiam sa stiu cine a transformat-o pe Karina si de ce imi facuse asta tocmai mie.
